How It All Began
It all started over 35 years ago with the creation of a winter storage facility for yachts.
In 1984, we began setting up a dry and secure space for yachts – a proper “winter sleep” for the boats. That’s also how the name “Sleepy” came about for the yacht transport company we founded two years later. Today, more than three decades on, we have built an excellent international reputation as an experienced and reliable partner for the transport and storage of yachts, as well as for containers, tanks, and other special cargo.
We continuously develop our service portfolio to meet current market demands and the needs of our customers. Today, we also handle special transports of goods that exceed standard dimensions in length, width, or height. To meet these challenges, we rely on a fleet of state-of-the-art transport vehicles that allow us to carry out even complex transports professionally, safely, and on schedule.
Our Locations
In addition to our company headquarters in Heikendorf near Kiel, we have also been operating a logistics center in Würzburg, Southern Germany, for several years. Both sites are located on secure, enclosed premises and are equipped with cranes and forklift operations. We also maintain a service hub in Austria.
Much has changed and evolved since the company was founded.

Our Fleet for Heavy Transport
Our forwarding company operates a modern and powerful fleet specifically designed to meet the demands of heavy transport. With our experienced team and reliable vehicles, we offer tailored transport solutions for all types of oversized and heavy loads.
Our fleet includes low-bed trailers, which are particularly suited for transporting heavy and bulky goods. These vehicles allow for the safe transport of machinery, equipment, or construction materials that require special handling due to their weight and size.
In addition, we use flatbed trailers with lengths of up to 16 meters in the flatbed section. These trucks provide ample space for long and awkward cargo that cannot be transported with conventional vehicles. Thanks to the flexibility of our flatbeds, we can safely and efficiently transport a wide variety of goods – such as steel beams, large components, or industrial equipment.
Our vehicles are equipped with the latest technology to meet the highest safety standards. We ensure on-time delivery and also offer custom solutions on request – including the coordination of escort vehicles or obtaining special permits for particularly heavy or wide transports.
